I spent the majority of my youth playing sports and working on my family’s ranch in North Central Montana. In high school I narrowed my focus down to football and wrestling. I had a successful high school career wrestling in 4 state championship matches and winning 3 state titles. I was also fortunate enough to be a part of a state championship football team in my senior year.  After high school I went on to wrestle at the University of Great Falls (now University of Providence) where I was a 4 year starter earning All-American honors in each of my final 3 seasons with placings of 3rd, 3rd, and 2nd at the National tournament.

In 2011, after college a former teammate and friend of mine invited me come try Crossfit at a  new gym he was opening in Great Falls. I thought it was great! Not only was it an outlet for my competitiveness, but it gave me something that I could work to constantly improve on and I could see real results with. In October of 2014 my wife Marissa and I moved to Kalispell. After trying out a few different gyms in the valley we found Big Mountain Crossfit. The thing that set them apart for me was the coaches commitment to their education and their ability to spot weaknesses and flaws in my movement patterns.

In the spring of 2017, I decided to get my Level 1 certification. I began coaching later on that year and have been enjoying sharing my love for fitness with our members ever since. I am looking forward to continuing to further my fitness education in the coming years and being a part of this great community.
